BLOG PROMPT FOR 101.35

Here is group D's prompt for this week:

"Did the article about Taylor Swift influence your opinion of her personally and her music? Do you think the pictures and charts added to the article or subtracted from it?"

Here is my response:

I don't know if I should answer this because I never particularly cared either way for Taylor Swift. I laughed at the whole VMA Kayne West thing, and certainly came up with my fair share of "Imma let you finish..." examples, but other than that - I really had no opinion. A friend of mine recently made me listen to this sappysweet Boys Like Girls feat. Taylor Swift song, which I actually kind of love. But that's it. The article, for me, was always just about the impressive ways the author went about proving their point. I think, even if ya'll didn't agree with the author, that it was well written. This is the most important thing in the world for me.

But I do want to say this - that subsequent conversation that occurred in our class that day - with the whole "I've known lots of nice whores" comment et. al. - was truly amazing. I had a lot of fun in class that day. I hope you did too. I mostly had fun listening to your OPINIONS ABOUT THINGS. It's pretty exciting, for me.
