BLOG PROMPT FOR 101.35

Here is the prompt from group E -

"Throughout Into the Wild Krakauer has compared Chris's story to other "adventurers." Do you think these comparisons help Krakauer's storytelling or hinder it? Find an example that stands out to you."

  1. i think that it helps his story telling because it shows that Chris wasn't alone in his thinking. when he compares Chris to the original man that took the path Chris did. it helps the story telling because it shows Chris's thinking because if these people could do it Chris might thinking that he could as well. i thinking that it also helps because if there are more people that Chris can relate to then he doesn't seem as much by himself in taking this quest because many have taken this quest before him. so rather than just flat out deciding to abandon his family and going out into the wild he is not alone in this doing the person that he relates is the person that did the quest before Chris and Chris was following in his footsteps.
