BLOG PROMPT FOR 101.25

Here is group b's prompt for the week -

"how do you think the use of hitchhiking has changed over time?...what do you think is the cause of this? is it beneficial to those in need or just overall too dangerous?..explain your thoughts"

Here is my response -

I don't know. I've never really thought about hitchhiking in any real way. I am sure that part of the change, if there is one, is that people don't do it as often, because nobody wants to hitch a ride with Ted Bundy, or offer a ride to hitchhiker Ted Bundy.
Chris wasn't Ted Bundy. I know that. But I think that if people behaved then the way they behave now, he would have had a difficult time trekking across the U.S. the way he did. Do I think it would have saved him? No, not really. But I do think that it would have perhaps hindered him in such a way that maybe he would have thought a little differently. Who knows. this is all guess.
It can be beneficial, but it's too dangerous for me. I'm super paranoid. I don't even like to talk to people on the bus. I'm certainly not hopping in the car with some stranger, or letting somebody get in my car. Because I am kind of weak and probably wouldn't be able to defend myself in many ways other than screaming like a baby and curling up into the fetal position.

THIS PROMPT IS ONLY FOR SECTION 25, WHICH MEETS FROM 12-1:15
