i find it way more credible than i did before. before having that insight into Krakauers life and knowing he went on a similar quest that Chris did. i think that because Krakauer went through similar situations and experience he can give us a fist hand account on how that is like. before i found out that Krakauer had done this i believed that he was not a credible source i thought that he was a man that came across Chris's diary but as you learn that he knows exactly what Chris goes through you have a new found respect for him because he went through the same things. he can give you an account not on just what Chris is feeling but how he would feel in a similar situation. this helps solidify his opinion and his writing of this book.
